Guidance for Schools

Czech panel survey of high-school students is conducted under the auspices of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and primarily in close cooperation with high schools. Data collection will proceed online but during school hours and on the school premises. The helpfulness of school management is fundamental for the successful realization of the project. Participation is voluntary.

Not just our team of sociologists from the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Science, but also the representatives of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports as well as Czech School Inspection are confident of the importance of this research project whose results and data could serve both the schools themselves and society in the long term. The results will allow us to better understand adolescents, high schools as a formative environment, and the arena of daily interactions in which young people prepare for adult life.

Last but not least, the conclusions of the survey could become a valuable impulse for the implementation of specific tools to improve the high-school environment. We are aware that participation places a certain burden on schools. We are all the more grateful for their willingness to consider participating in the project. It is worth it! Thank you.
